2007 Festival Passes and Tickets FAQ
Q: Hey, what was that you said about Festival Passes?
A: Two great ways to see all the films at the festival and/or to attend all the parties! You still have to pick up tickets to each screening you want, but you can do it all at once and make sure you don't miss anything. The Screening Pass is for the film screenings only; a Event Pass is for all parties and events; an All Access Pass is for films, events and even parties.
Q: Well, how much does it cost?
A: Screening Passes are $225. An All Access Pass is $350. The Event Pass is $150.
Q: What is this new Event Pass thing anyway?
A: The Events Pass is for the true party animal! It gets you into all Slamdance events, including the Opening and Closing Night Parties and Happy Hour Saloons (for festival pass holders and VIP’s only). All Slamdance parties have sponsored drinks and the Opening and Closing Night Parties have live music!
Q: What if I just want to buy individual movie tickets?
A: Individual movie tickets are also available for purchase on Virtuous.com. Sales for individual tickets start December 12, 2006 and end January 8, 2007. All feature screenings are $11.00 and shorts are $6.00.
Q: But, won’t it be easier to just buy my pass at the festival when I get to Park City?
A: No. There is a limited number of all passes available and they are ONLY available online!
Q: Hey, I just blew $3,000 on a fancy Express Pass thingy from Sundance - won't that get me into your events too?
A: Well, no.
Q: OK, OK, how do I get one of these precious Slamdance Festival Passes?
A: It couldn't be easier. It couldn't be easier. Just go to Virtuous.com and buy it online!
Q: Hey, I'm a big-time Hollywood agent and/or acquisitions exec. I don't really need to buy a Slamdance Festival Pass, do I?
A: Of course you do, but you are eligible for an Industry Pass, at a discounted rate, as long as you fill out an accreditation form. Industry Passes get you into all film screenings and most festival events (excluding the Opening and Closing Night Parties). You can download the Industry Accreditation Form from the Slamdance Tickets page. Further instructions are on the form. Buy early to avoid missing this year's Mad Hot Ballroom or Peluca (the short that was made into Napoleon Dynamite!).
Q: So, I’ve ordered my pass… now what?
A: You will need to pick up your pass at the Slamdance Film Festival Box Office, starting January 18, 2007, once you arrive in Park City. While you are there, you can use your pass to pick up tickets to screenings you plan to attend.
Q: Oh no! I missed the deadline buying online! Now what do I do?
A: Film Festival passes are only available online for a limited time. If they are sold out, you are out of luck! However, Slamdance does reserve a portion of screening tickets for sale at the festival, and even for day of ticket sales at the Slamdance Festival Box Office in Park City at the Treasure Mountain Inn, starting January 18, 2007.
Q: Where is the Slamdance box office? And when does it open?
A: The Slamdance Festival Box Office in Park City is at the Treasure Mountain Inn. The box office opens on January 18, 2007 and will be open 9am – 9pm daily through January 26, 2007.
Q: When do passes and tickets go on sale?
A: Festival passes go on sale October 16, 2006 and individual screening tickets will be available December 12, 2006.
Q: You still haven’t answered my question. Now what?
A: You can call the Slamdance Film Festival office at 323-466-1786.
